Titchfield Hill & Fort George
Historic Site
Titchfield Hill and Fort George occupy the elevated peninsula between Port Antonio's East and West Harbours in Portland Parish, Jamaica. Fort George was built by the British in the 18th century to defend the twin harbours from maritime attacks, and its stone ramparts and cannon placements remain intact with sweeping views of the Blue Mountains and Navy Island. Titchfield Hill below features colonial-era buildings, the historic Titchfield School, and narrow lanes with pastel-painted wooden houses from Port Antonio's Victorian heyday. The area represents one of the best-preserved examples of Georgian military and residential architecture in eastern Jamaica. Aurum Transfers provides private airport transfers from Ian Fleming International Airport (OCJ) starting at $465 for up to four guests, with complimentary Starlink WiFi. The 2 hour drive from OCJ follows the coast through St. Mary into Portland.
