YS Falls
Waterfall
Seven cascading waterfalls drop 120 feet through limestone cliffs on a private estate in St. Elizabeth parish, creating some of the most photogenic falls in Jamaica. Unlike the heavily trafficked Dunn's River Falls, YS feels secluded - visitor numbers are controlled, and the atmosphere favours relaxation over adrenaline. A tractor-drawn jitney carries visitors through the estate's cattle pastures and horse paddocks to reach the falls, where natural pools at multiple levels offer swimming under the cascades. A rope swing launches swimmers Tarzan-style into one of the deeper pools, and a zipline canopy tour flies riders directly over the falls. Lifeguards patrol the swimming areas. The grounds include landscaped gardens with ginger lilies and tropical flowers, picnic lawns, a cafe, and a 4-foot-deep man-made pool fed by spring water for calmer swimming. The estate has been in continuous agricultural operation since the 17th century, originally growing sugarcane and logwood. YS Falls opens Tuesday-Sunday, 9:30am-3:30pm. It sits about 30 minutes north of the coast near Maggotty. Aurum Transfers delivers you from MBJ Airport in about 3 hours 30 minutes for $465 for up to four guests, with Starlink WiFi onboard.
