Bluefields Beach Park

Beach

Bluefields Beach Park is a popular public beach in Westmoreland Parish, Jamaica, located on the south coast between Savanna-la-Mar and Whitehouse. The beach features a long stretch of golden sand, calm shallow waters, and shaded picnic areas under sea grape and almond trees. Bluefields is historically significant as the landing site of English forces in 1655 when they seized Jamaica from Spain. The beach park includes changing rooms, food vendors, and a car park, making it the most accessible swimming beach on the south coast. Peter Tosh grew up in the nearby Belmont community, and the beach hosts occasional cultural events celebrating the area's musical heritage. Aurum Transfers provides private airport transfers from Sangster International Airport (MBJ) starting at $320 for up to four guests, with complimentary Starlink WiFi. The 2 hour drive from MBJ passes through Savanna-la-Mar to the south coast.
