Peter Tosh Memorial Garden (Belmont)
Cultural
Peter Tosh Memorial Garden is a heritage site in Westmoreland Parish, Jamaica, located in the hilltop village of Belmont where reggae legend Peter Tosh was born in 1944. The garden contains Tosh's mausoleum, personal memorabilia, and interpretive displays chronicling his life as a founding member of The Wailers alongside Bob Marley and Bunny Wailer. Visitors can explore the grounds, view original instruments and stage costumes, and learn about Tosh's activism and musical legacy from community guides. The site offers a more intimate and reflective experience than the Bob Marley Museum in Kingston, set in the rural Jamaican landscape that shaped Tosh's music. Aurum Transfers provides private airport transfers from Sangster International Airport (MBJ) starting at $320 for up to four guests, with complimentary Starlink WiFi. The 2 hour drive from MBJ passes through Savanna-la-Mar into the Westmoreland interior.
