Dolphin Head Mountains is a protected forest reserve in Hanover Parish, Jamaica, rising to 1,789 feet above the coast near Lucea and forming one of the island's most biodiverse highland ecosystems. The mountain is home to over 80 endemic plant species found nowhere else on Earth, along with rare birds, giant swallowtail butterflies, and Jamaican boas. Guided hiking trails wind through montane rainforest, cloud forest, and limestone karst formations, offering panoramic views of Montego Bay and the Hanover coastline. The Dolphin Head trail system is managed by local community guides and is best suited for intermediate to advanced hikers.
