Blenheim (Bustamante Birthplace)
Historic Site
Blenheim is the birthplace of Sir Alexander Bustamante, Jamaica's first Prime Minister and a National Hero, located in Hanover Parish near the town of Lucea. The modest hilltop property has been preserved as a national monument, with a small museum displaying Bustamante's personal effects, photographs, and documents chronicling the labour movement that led to Jamaican independence in 1962. The original birth house has been reconstructed, and the grounds include memorial gardens and interpretive panels explaining Bustamante's role in shaping modern Jamaica. Blenheim is a significant heritage site for visitors interested in Caribbean political history. Aurum Transfers provides private airport transfers from Sangster International Airport (MBJ) starting at $150 for up to four guests, with complimentary Starlink WiFi. The 1 hour drive from MBJ heads west through the Hanover interior.
