Bob Marley Museum
Cultural
Housed in the former home and recording studio of Bob Marley at 56 Hope Road, this museum is Jamaica's most visited attraction in Kingston. Marley lived and worked here from 1975 until his death in 1981, and the property preserves his personal space including the bedroom, kitchen, and the Tuff Gong recording studio where hits like Jamming and Redemption Song were laid down. Bullet holes from the 1976 assassination attempt remain visible in the walls. Guided tours (approximately 75 minutes) walk through rooms filled with gold and platinum records, stage costumes, a replica of his favoured Wail'n Soul'M record shop, and a theatre showing concert footage. The garden contains a herb garden and a meditation space. A gift shop and cafe - the One Love Cafe - occupy the grounds. Photography is restricted inside the house. The museum sits in the uptown New Kingston area within walking distance of Devon House and Hope Gardens. Tours operate Monday-Saturday; advance booking is recommended during peak season. Aurum Transfers delivers you from Norman Manley Airport (KIN) in about 45 minutes for $110 for up to four guests, with Starlink WiFi onboard.
