Seven Mile Beach
Beach
Despite the name, the actual sandy stretch runs about four miles along Norman Manley Boulevard (with the remaining three extending into Bloody Bay), but no one seems to mind the exaggeration. Seven Mile Beach is Jamaica's most iconic stretch of coastline - a continuous ribbon of white sand backed by sea grape trees, casual beach bars, and the facades of Negril's major resorts. The water is calm, shallow, and warm, making it ideal for swimming, kayaking, and paddleboarding. Vendors patrol the sand offering everything from fresh lobster to hair braiding; a firm but polite decline works. The southern end near the cliffs is quieter and attracts a more independent-traveler crowd, while the central section near Margaritaville pulses with music and bar traffic. Sunsets here are legendary - the west-facing orientation means the sun drops directly into the sea with unobstructed views. Beach access is public in Jamaica by law, though chairs and umbrellas at resort sections require a fee or day-pass purchase. Aurum Transfers delivers you from MBJ Airport to Seven Mile Beach in about 2 hours 30 minutes for $325 for up to four guests, with Starlink WiFi for the scenic coastal ride.
