Queen of Spain Valley
Nature
Queen of Spain Valley is a remote limestone valley in Trelawny Parish, Jamaica, nestled between the Cockpit Country and the Martha Brae River basin south of Falmouth. Named during the Spanish colonial period, the valley features rolling green pastures, traditional farming communities, and dramatic cockpit karst topography visible from elevated viewpoints. Visitors can explore the area through guided eco-tours that include birding, cave exploration, and cultural visits to Maroon descendant villages. The valley is rarely visited by tourists, making it one of Jamaica's most authentic rural experiences. Queen of Spain Valley lies roughly 30 minutes south of Falmouth town centre. Aurum Transfers provides private airport transfers from Sangster International Airport (MBJ) starting at $150 for up to four guests, with complimentary Starlink WiFi. The 1 hour drive from MBJ heads east along the coast then south into the Trelawny interior.
