Pier One Restaurant & Bar
Dining
Built on a wooden pier extending over the waters of Montego Bay, Pier One is one of the city's most popular waterfront dining and nightlife venues. The open-air structure seats diners directly above the harbour, where fish swim visibly beneath the gaps in the floorboards - in fact, a highlight is the nightly fish feeding, where staff toss scraps to the tarpon and snapper that congregate under the lights. The menu features Jamaican seafood staples: grilled lobster, pepper shrimp, steamed fish with okra, and jerk dishes alongside international options. Friday nights bring Pier One's signature party - a reggae and dancehall night that draws a mix of tourists, locals, and hotel staff for an authentically Jamaican nightlife experience. The venue also houses the Montego Bay Marine Park Trust's research centre and offices, lending it a slight conservation angle. Pier One sits in the Montego Freeport area between downtown and the Hip Strip, accessible from both directions. Aurum Transfers delivers you from MBJ Airport to Pier One in about 25 minutes for $85 for up to four guests, with Starlink WiFi and inside-terminal pickup.
