Montego Bay Convention Centre

The Montego Bay Convention Centre is Jamaica's premier conference and events facility, located in the Montego Freeport peninsula. The 90,000-square-foot venue opened in 2011 and hosts international conferences, trade shows, exhibitions, and major cultural events throughout the year. The building features a main ballroom that accommodates up to 5,000 guests, multiple breakout meeting rooms, and a covered exhibition hall. The architecture incorporates Jamaican design elements and the waterfront location offers views across the harbour. The convention centre was built as part of Jamaica's strategy to grow business tourism alongside the traditional leisure market. Events ranging from Caribbean tourism conferences to dancehall stage shows and boxing matches have used the space. The Freeport area also contains the cruise ship pier, duty-free shopping zone, and several waterfront restaurants. The convention centre sits about 10 minutes from the Hip Strip and 25 minutes from Sangster International Airport.
