Cultural
Wassi Art Pottery is a working ceramic studio and gallery in St. Ann Parish, Jamaica, located in the Great Pond area near Ocho Rios. Founded by local artist Robert Maxwell, the studio produces hand-thrown and hand-painted pottery inspired by Jamaican landscapes, flora, and cultural motifs. Visitors can watch artisans shape clay on traditional pottery wheels, paint intricate designs, and fire pieces in an outdoor kiln. The adjoining gallery sells finished ceramics including plates, bowls, mugs, and decorative sculptures. Wassi Art has become one of Jamaica's most recognised ceramic brands, with pieces featured in hotels and galleries across the island. Aurum Transfers provides private airport transfers from Ian Fleming International Airport (OCJ) starting at $95 for up to four guests, with complimentary Starlink WiFi and cold beverages. The 40 minute drive from OCJ follows the coast into Ocho Rios.
