Ocho Rios Bay Beach
Beach
Ocho Rios Bay Beach (also known locally as Turtle Beach in its eastern section) is the main public beach in downtown Ochi, stretching in a gentle curve along the harbour. The water is calm and shallow, protected by the natural bay, and the sand is a mix of golden-white imported and natural material maintained by the Urban Development Corporation. Facilities include lifeguards, changing rooms, showers, beach chair and umbrella rentals, and a beach bar. Water sports operators offer jet skis, banana boats, and glass-bottom boat rides. The beach sits within walking distance of the town centre, Island Village, and the cruise port - which means it fills up substantially on ship days. Weekday mornings are the quietest windows. The eastern end known as Turtle Beach connects to the Fisherman's Point condo area, and the vibe gets progressively more local as you walk away from the cruise pier. Street food vendors along the road behind the beach sell jerk chicken, fried fish, and festival. Aurum Transfers delivers you from MBJ Airport to downtown Ocho Rios in about 1 hour 55 minutes for $285 for up to four guests, with Starlink WiFi and your driver waiting inside the terminal.
