Dead End Beach (Buccaneer Beach)

Dead End Beach, also known as Buccaneer Beach, is a small public beach in St. James Parish, Jamaica, located at the end of Kent Avenue near the entrance to Montego Bay's Freeport peninsula. The beach earned its name from the dead-end road that leads to it, creating a tucked-away feel despite its proximity to downtown Montego Bay. Local families, students, and budget travellers use the free-access beach for swimming and socialising, with food vendors selling jerk chicken and cold Red Stripe from nearby stalls. The beach offers views of Montego Bay harbour and the cruise ships docked at the terminal.
