Seville Heritage Park

Located on the site of the first Spanish settlement in Jamaica - Sevilla la Nueva, founded in 1509 - Seville Heritage Park in St. Ann preserves over 800 years of Jamaican history across a single property. Archaeological excavations have uncovered Taino artifacts, Spanish colonial ruins, and remnants of a British sugar plantation that succeeded the Spanish settlement. The Seville Great House, built by the British in the 1700s, has been partially restored and serves as an on-site museum.
