Seville Heritage Park

Historic Site

Located on the site of the first Spanish settlement in Jamaica - Sevilla la Nueva, founded in 1509 - Seville Heritage Park in St. Ann preserves over 800 years of Jamaican history across a single property. Archaeological excavations have uncovered Taino artifacts, Spanish colonial ruins, and remnants of a British sugar plantation that succeeded the Spanish settlement. The Seville Great House, built by the British in the 1700s, has been partially restored and serves as an on-site museum. A heritage trail connects the key archaeological areas, including the Spanish Governor's Castle ruins and a Taino village site. The Jamaica National Heritage Trust manages the property, and guided tours provide historical context spanning Indigenous, Spanish, British, and African chapters of Jamaican history. This is one of Jamaica's most significant archaeological sites and a refreshing alternative to the busier resort-town attractions. The park sits just west of St. Ann's Bay along the coastal highway. Aurum Transfers delivers you from MBJ Airport in about 1 hour 30 minutes for $210 for up to four guests, with Starlink WiFi and real-time flight monitoring.
